LECTURE A BRIEF HISTORY OF ART AND ANATOMY

Maine artist Sarah Yakawonis discusses the history of anatomy in art from sketches by Leonardo DaVinci to contemporary figurative art. Yakawonis is known for her compelling anatomical quilling series, which depicts human anatomy through handcrafted paper art.

Transform anatomical drawings from medical textbooks into original works of art using common craft supplies. Try your hand at creating pipe-cleaner brains and rhinestone hearts. Led by Maine artist Sarah Yakawonis, who is known for her compelling anatomical quilling series, which depicts human anatomy through handcrafted paper art.
