Nikola Tesla - Paper art

The inspiration for this illustration came from a story I heard about Tesla. . .

When Tesla was a boy he saw a steel engraving of Niagara Falls. In his imagination there appeared a huge water wheel being turned by the powerful cataract. He said to an uncle that he would go to America one day and capture energy in this way. Thirty years later he did exactly that.

. . . this illustration depicts tesla created in an etching style, behind him is a stylized depiction of water at the bottom that is bubbling up to meet a ball of lightning.
